Langit Merah Itu . . . Disirami Gerimis Sepi

Wahai Tuhan yang mengamankan orang-orang yang takut!
Amankanlah kami dari apa yang kami takut.

Wahai Tuhan yang mengamankan orang-orang yang takut!
Selamatkanlah kami dari apa yang kami takut.

Wahai Tuhan yang mengamankan orang-orang yang takut!
Lepaskanlah kami dari apa yang kami takut.

Ya Sanada man la sanada lahu,
Hatiku terasa gundah
bagai hilang tempat bertaut,
kerna perkhabaran di luar jangkaan.
Lalu Engkau hilangkanlah
keresahan dari hatiku.
Ya Saami'u kulli shout!

Hafizuddin,

Sabar & solat [al-baqarah:153] adalah ubat terbaik. Di akhir ramadhan ni, moga mendapat cinta dari-Nya dan be strong.

Imam Hasan Hudaibi once said, "tegakkan islam in your heart so that it will tertegak di bumimu (tempatmu berpijak).

Fastaqim kama umirta...

salaam.

just a few days ago i've been stumbling upon websites to find the meaning of this du'a. i've found it in another site, with few shocking statements along with it.
if only i found this earlier!)

but as u've mentioned already in my fb, it soothes me back as i regain my confidence back to recite this du'a.

thanks chouji!

My pleasure, Mimi. And thanks for the response! :')

Rasulullah said that constructive debates and arguments among his ummat is a bliss. It is because when people are not sure about something, they will try to seek the truth behind it.

Regarding this du'a, it has been debated over its validity to be used as a du'a as some people relate it back to Bani Israel who sought refuge from Hamman.

But I'd like to share two opinions which I really value about this do'a. See the links below:
1) http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y=2003&dt=0604&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Dalam_Negeri&pg=dn_05.htm
2) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/al-Zawiya/message/11170

I love the second view better. As I mentioned in your FB, we can relate Allah to values signifying greatness and power. And this second view even provided a Quranic evident why "Amaanal Khaifin" is well-suited for Allah.

My two pence: When we are not sure about something, don't hesitate to seek truth about it. :')

Wallahua'lam.
